Passionate about Education!

Background Information

Ever since I was ten years old, I knew I wanted to work with children. As I grew and matured, my aspirations continued to develop. I have devoted my life to the field of education. First, as a teacher for ten years in a variety of grade levels, settings, and subject areas. Then, as an instructional coach for four years and now, as an educational leader.

In addition to always striving to support all learners, I have also developed a passion for supporting educators. Teachers and educational staff work extremely hard, particularly in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where demands are high. I am here to offer my outside-of-the-box thinking, creativity, excitement, devotion, and support to any educator looking to improve his or her practice and do what is best for all students.

Quote I Live By

This I say to be the best,
to be yourself and not like the rest.

Work real hard to be real tough,
but 100% is not good enough.

Set the impossible as your goal,
then reach deep inside from within your soul.

All you’ve got is all you could ask,
to help you achieve your impossible task.

On the Horizon

A large part of my educational expertise includes special education, inclusion, and Response to Intervention (RTI).  Within these areas, I can offer support in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiation, and Specially Designed Instruction (SDI).  This also includes progress monitoring, curriculum improvement, Explicit Instruction, interventions, data informed instruction, accommodations and modifications as well as Individual Education Program (IEP) development.

A desire for student success, teacher growth, and lifelong learning are what drive me to share my passion with educational professionals.  This website represents the beginnings of supporting educators from afar and in a variety of means.  Within this new educational world and the forever-improving technology and access to information, I plan to achieve the following:

  • Offer written works and resources to support all educators
  • Create and post educational videos, and eventually, podcasts and webinars
  • Work with schools to improve systems and practices to benefit school communities, as a whole
  • Share creative and innovative, yet realistic, ideas for all types of educators and students
  • Inspire educators to continue the profound work with children, teens, and young adults
